Here's what's going on at the National Mall on Saturday, Nov. 11. All of these events are free. The country will come together on Saturday to celebrate America's veterans. WASHINGTON – The National Park Service and its partners will honor those who have served in the nation’s armed forces through virtual and in-person programming at several of the memorials on the National Mall on Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11: World War II Memorial – 9 a.m. Each year on Veterans Day weekend in Washington DC, Historic Programs honors our veterans through the National Veterans Day Ceremony. This musical tribute begins on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Music and wreath laying ceremonies honor veterans of the Vietnam and Korean wars. When: Sun. Nov 12, 2023, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm ET. Repeats. Where: National Mall & Arlington Natl. Cemetery. Washington, DC. Cost: Free. In honor of Veterans Day weekend 2023, Vet Centers will be conducting outreach in the heart of our nation's capital over the three-day weekend. Veterans Day at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial November 11th, 1 PM The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund will be hosting a ceremony on November 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM EST. The annual Veterans Day at The Wall ceremony will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the “Three Servicemen” statue and the 20th anniversary of the In Memory plaque.
